Stained Glass Info use clear contact paper Cut glass to fit your pattern (Remember it's easier to cut glass on the smoothest side) This may result in reversing your pattern piece so always check to make sure you've got the right side down on your contact paper **You want the side you want to see as your finished product face down on the sticky side of the contact paper Lay out glass on contact paper. Lay a copy of your pattern under the Clear contact paper so you can follow the pattern easier. Put a light coat of mold release agent on the mold. Place contact paper with glass in mold. Gently wipe off glass with alcohol or nail polish remover to remove any excess oils. The concrete Mix is: 3 (16 oz can) Sand 1 1/2 (16 oz can) Cement Approx. 1 (16 oz can) Water Make your mix about the consistency of Tomato paste Gently work in the sand base mix between the pieces of glass. (if you want to add aggregate in your mix do so after about 1/2" of sand mix making sure your sand mix is: NEXT TO THE GLASS Finish filling the mold, leaving about 1/8" from the top of the mold. Tap mold as you would a cake to remove air bubbles. Let set approx. 24 hours Concrete dries best at temperatures above 70 Degrees F After removing the mold, peel off the contact paper and gently clean off the residue with a light steel wool and a damp cloth If you want to add a concrete sealer to your finished product that's okay except: it dulls the glass. So then you can use nail polish remover to clean the glass. Enjoy!
